Cancer Survivors against Radon (CanSar) – group works to empower sufferers of radon induced lung cancer;  upon request, provides free radon testing kits  

It’s Time to Focus on Lung Cancer – Cancer Care’s on line source for lung cancer related information  

Joan’s Legacy: The Joan Scarangello Foundation to Conquer Lung Cancer – group is committed to funding innovative lung cancer research; special focus on non-smoking related causes of the disease.

Lung Cancer Alliance – national nonprofit dedicated to helping people with lung cancer and those who are at risk for the disease through advocacy, support and education.

Lungevity – national foundation dedicated to funding lung cancer research

Lung Cancer Caring Ambassadors Program (CAP) – mission is to encourage people with lung cancer to take active roles in their lives.

Lung Cancer on Line – foundation that funds lung cancer research and provides information to  patients and their families.

Lung Cancer Support Community – an interactive community dedicated to providing support for     those diagnosed with the disease

National Familial Lung Cancer Registry – established by Johns Hopkins Medical Center in 1993 to further understanding of the causes of lung cancer (beyond smoking) and to serve as an educational resource.

National Lung Cancer Partnership – group whose mission is to decrease deaths due to lung cancer and help patients live longer and better through research, awareness and advocacy.

The Bonnie J Addario Lung Cancer Foundation– group is committed to eradicating lung cancer by focusing on research, eduation, early detection and treatment.

American Cancer Society – organization committed to providing resources for those facing Cancer

American Legacy Foundation – dedicated to building a world where young people reject tobacco.

American  Lung Association – health organization dedicated to fighting lung disease in all forms

Cancer Hope Network – provides confidential, one-on-one telephone support to recently diagnosed patients and their family members by matching them with trained survivors (877-HOPE-NET)

Cancer.net – website sponsored by ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncologists) and is designed to help patients and families make informed care decisions.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – principal federal agency for protecting the health and  safety of all Americans and providing essential human services

Gilda’s Club – national network providing a place for cancer patients and their families to join with others to build social and emotional support

National Cancer Institute –federal agency that coordinates national cancer program

The Wellness Community – international organization dedicated to providing support activities and hope for all people affected by cancer.

Your Disease Risk – this interactive website estimates your risk of cancer and provides personalized tips for prevention.


New Jersey Resources

New Jersey Cancer Trial Connect – matches cancer treatment trials (clinical trials) with Individual’s specific medical profile.

New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services – Office of Cancer Control and Prevention Oversees implementation of statewide strategic cancer plan

Morristown Memorial Hospital Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, meets at 2PM on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
